I have to admit I wasn’t planning on joining the annual Vappu (May Day) picnic this year, but last minute offer for a ride to the city changed my mind quite fast. So there I was an hour later sitting in the lawn in Central Park’s Sheep Meadow sipping some bubbly in the sun and snacking on some little pieces of the traditional Finnish tippaleipa and licorice (thanks to my friend). What better way to spend time with people you care about than enjoying the nature and the beautiful park. Oli kyl aika tyypillinen suomalainen vappu, mulle ainakin ku muisti vähän pätkii.. tais tulla "simaa" juotua jonkinverran vaihteeks..
