Once a year I like/have to quit sugar because I know I have issues with this addictive substance. So I go on a 30-Day sugar detox. I’ve always had love for sweet things and since I was a child, I’ve gone above and beyond to get it (from top shelves of the kitchen cabinets/mom’s wardrobe/other hidden places). I even remember eating powdered sugar straight from the box with a spoon, just like that. Also, drinking caramel sauce straight from the container. So, yes, my fondness for sweet things is strong and has a long history…
This is why I need to challenge myself and completely quit it for a while so I can reset my body’s harmony. You can read about my previous 30-day sugar detox experiences here and here. I used this herbal tincture to aid with the process of clearing candida overgrowth and will be using it again. Here’s the quick breakdown of the cleanse I’m doing:
I will avoid:
- sugar (including high-sugar fruit)
- gluten
- caffeine
- alcohol
- starchy vegetables
- all animal products (especially dairy)
I will eat:
- green apples
- berries
- greens, sprouts
- lemons/limes/grapefruit
- almond butter
- fermented vegetables (sauerkraut, kimchi, beets)
- kefir
- herbal tea
Daily movement:
- min. 30 min walk
- min. 15 min yoga/stretching (always Bow, Crow, Headstand)
- min. 5 min strength training
Daily Food & Supplements:
- Warm lemon water
- Green Smoothie with greens powder
- Chia seeds (4 tbsp/daily in a smoothie,kombucha, pudding or juice)
- Raw Apple Cider Vinegar with 2 oz water
- Magnesium before bed
- Hepasil DTX to aid detoxing
- Probiotics/fermented foods (am+pm)
- Chaga and Reishi (medicinal mushroom drinks)
What else?
- 10 minute meditation morning or before bed
- Daily journaling + gratitude list
- Reach out: Make a new connection 1 x week

Upon waking up:
- Stretch in bed
- Thank the Universe
- Think 3 things you’re grateful for
- Meditation
- Tongue scrape
- Lemon water + probiotics
- Exercise + learn (20/20/20)
- Journaling
- Green smoothie + Hepasil DTX
End of the day:
- No TV or social media
- Dry brushing before shower
- Warm Reishi drink
- Magnesium + Hepasil DTX + probiotics
- Journaling (4 lines in 5 Year Journal)
- Meditation
