Did you know that Ella Fitzgerald was one of the first Amateur Night winners. Amateur Night still remains the Apollo’s most recognizable and longest running performance series. The legendary venue has launched the careers of icons such as Billie Holiday, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, James Brown and Lauryn Hill.
Every time we walk past this legendary theater we must take photos. The first one I ever took is the above photo from 2002. Dear lord how time flies… That’s 10 years ago!!!
