A little over two years ago I gave birth to a beautiful girl. Becoming a first-time mother is a whirlwind of joy, excitement, and new challenges. To be completely honest the first year was rough. Here are my top five holistic wellness practices that have been my saving grace during this transformative journey:

1. Yoga Classes:

Yoga has been my sanctuary amidst the chaos of motherhood. Attending regular yoga classes, even if it’s just once per week, not only helps me stay physically fit but also provides me with precious moments of mindfulness and relaxation. The gentle stretches, deep breathing exercises, and meditation techniques help me find balance and peace amidst the daily hustle. I can usually squeeze in Friday noon, or Saturday/Sunday morning hot yoga class at our local studio that I’ve grown to love.

2. Acupuncture:

Acupuncture has been a game-changer in managing postpartum stress and enhancing my overall well-being. The ancient practice of acupuncture helps to rebalance energy flow within the body, alleviate tension, and promote relaxation.
