Basic green smoothie

 2-3 celery stalks
1 apple (I like Granny Smith)
1 banana (I peel and freeze mine so I don’t need ice)
big handful of whatever greens I have available (kale, collard greens, spinach, parsley, cilantro, arugula, chard, broccoli)
1 scoop greens powder
1 piece of fresh ginger

1 tbsp chia seeds (soaked in water so they form a gel)

Extras (I keep changing them daily):

1 tbsp maca powder
1 tbsp bee pollen
1 tbsp raw, shelled hemp hearts
1 tbsp raw cacao nibs
1 tsp spirulina
1 tsp raw, organic coconut oil OR 1/2 avocado (healthy fat source to help absorption of nutrients)

Blend all ingredients, except chia seeds, in high speed blender. Once smooth, add chia and blend on low speed until mixed. Enjoy!
Smoothies retain all of the fiber of the veggies and fruit, rather than removing it, as juicing does. Fiber is crucial for ongoing cleansing by removing toxins on a regular basis, helping to keep your digestive tract and body clean. One green smoothie a day, keeps the doctor away!
